Am Dienstag hat Steve Jobs die Frage gestellt bekommen warum Apple in die aktuellen Produkte keine Blu-ray Laufwerke verbaut, die Antwort ist folgende:
Blu-ray is just a bag of hurt. It’s great to watch the movies, but the licensing of the tech is so complex, we’re waiting till things settle down and Blu-ray takes off in the marketplace.
Phil Schiller meinte dazu noch:
We have the best HD movie and TV options in iTunes.
Nun das Apple seine iTunes Loesung gut findet ist klar, aber die Qualitaet ist natuerlich nicht mit einer Blu-ray vergleichbar. Ausserdem fehlt mir bei Apples Loesung die Moeglichkeit der mehreren Tonspuren, der Untertitel, Making Ofs oder Picture in Picture die ich sehr mag an der Blu-ray.
